The Comings and Goings of the Rances - September 2005
DeLonn and I have been on the move this year. Our mode of travel has consisted of planes, trains, and automobiles.  Follow along to see where these vehicles have taken us.
Plane Itinerary:
Departed: January 5 through 10, 2005
Destination: Colombia, South America
DeLonn spoke at Colombia’s missionary training conference. Their missions program, under the leadership of missionaries David and Margot Woodworth, has grown and matured. They now have 8 missionaries serving in 4 countries of the world. It was so exciting to see Moses, a Columbian pastor who went with us to Turkey two years ago, giving up his church to go as a missionary to Turkey.
Departed: January 19 through 21, 2005
Destination: Peru, South America
DeLonn traveled to Peru to preach at their General Council. The council was dedicated to missions and the national church leaders and pastors renewed their dedication to send more Peruvian missionaries to the world.
Departed: February 14 through 18, 2005
Destination: Baguio, Philippines
DeLonn and I attended a conference in Baguio Philippines. We were part of a Latin American delegation of mission’s leaders and missionaries working in the Muslim world. These Latin missionaries are working in places where it is hard for North Americans to go.
Departed: April 12 through 14, 2005
Destination: Ecuador, South America
DeLonn participated in the fifth Encuentro for Latin American Missions. The numbers of Latin missionaries has increased and their vision to be His feet that go, sending 50 missionaries to the Muslim world, to be His hands that give, raising $2,000,000.00 to support those missionaries, and to be His knees that stay, to raise up 1 million intercessors to pray for the missionaries that go, is on track. It is wonderful to see the seeds that were planted over 21 years ago are growing strong.
Departed: June 13 through 26, 2005
Destination: El Salvador, Central America
DeLonn and I returned home to participate in El Salvador’s annual Pastor’s Retreat Week. The whole week was dedicated to missions. Salvadorian pastors renewed their passion to support and send their 71 missionaries who serve in 57 countries of the world. Our

second week in El Salvador was spent participating in a Muslim Awareness Seminar sponsored by Central for Muslim Ministries and The Missionary Training Center (CAMAD). 250 students attended.
Train Itinerary:
May 12 through 27, 2005
DeLonn and I along with 23 Bethany students, including LaDawn and Shayla spent two weeks in India on a Bethany Missions trip. It was thrilling to see the team gel together and do a fantastic job of ministering to the people of India. The first week was spent in Calcutta at the church and school that Mark Buntain started. The students worked in Sunday school, Children’s Church, Vacation Bible School and fed thousands in the feeding program. They also spent a day at Mother Teresa’s Mission of Mercy where they helped at the orphanage, the hospital for the handicapped, and the home of the dying. The team then boarded a train for a 21 hour train ride from Calcutta to Agra to see the Taj Mahal. They also visited 17 temples of the 21 different major religions practiced in India. The students witnessed the poverty of this huge country by walking the streets of Calcutta every day on their way to the church, they also saw goats sacrificed to the god Kali. However, in the midst of this darkness they saw the hope of Jesus in the faces of the children they ministered to and the people they fed.
Car Itinerary:
